As a little girl, Nakeya spent many weekends helping her mom with home improvement projects. They would plan
projects, install wallpaper, change out beddings, paint walls, and even installing light fixtures throughout the home.
That is where her DIY spirit and love affair with all things interior design began. It blossomed from there and is
something she continued to be passionate about always decorating her own home and those of friends. Buying
décor as gifts for the homes of friends.
Turning passion into profit, today Nakeya owns and operates The Riley Method Designs also known affectionately as
TRM Designs & Co. The boutique firm currently focuses on residential, commercial, and event design. She is passionate about transforming houses into chic functional spaces her clients and their families will enjoy and love for years to come.
She believes in clean, classic designs that won’t become outdated. She believes that design should add to the character and value of the home rather than take away from it.
She also owns TRM Designs Home offering quality affordable furniture and décor direct to the consumer.
Nakeya lives in Atlanta, GA with her son Sebastian. They spend time browsing through Home Goods, making house
calls, and visiting showrooms by day and traveling, watching movies, or singing loudly at concerts and festivals by night.
